FERRATE: (Commentary.).
I think that ferrate is a wonderful sport. Ferrata is climbing up a mountain with an iron cord, and you are assicurated to the iron cord, so even if you fall from the ferrata, you are assicurated to the iron cord. It is a sport for everyone because there are different levels of climbing, easy, medium, difficoult, very difficoult, and extremly difficoult. In every part of the world in which there are mountains, you can go ina a ferrata course, or you can just inform yourself and go alone in the ferrata, or with your family or friends. And, if you want to do competitions, there are races of ferrate, and if you win tou can win money or big prizes. The vie ferrate will entertain you sa lot because when you climb up the mountain, you have a lot of emotions, and since you are very high, it seems to be in paradise. I suggest that you do this sport even because you use your muscles a lot and you become very strong if you do this type of sport. I hope that when you will do thisa sport, or activity you will have a lot of fun and stong emoctions!!

FERRATE AND TENNIS: (What I like about Trieste.).
There are a lot of things in Trieste that I like, but my favourite things about Trieste are ferrate and tennis. I play tennis four times a week and it is a very nice sport because you are always moving and it is very nice to hit a ball with all the strenght you have. I play tennis at the Tennis Club Triestino, but I do tournaments all around the region, like for example Gradisca, Sant-Elia, Ronchi, and many other places. Then I also love doing ferrate, which are iron cords that bring you up the mountain. Here in Trieste there are a lot of ferrate (mostly in Val Rosandra) and there are a lot of levels. I like this sport a lot because when you climb the mountain it seems to be in paradise because you are the highest on the city. I go to do ferrate evry week / end with my father. And if you don t like ferrate, there are more than 400 climbing places in Trieste (Napoleonica, Val Rosandra, Carso, and many other.). This two sports are very frequent in Trieste and they are two wonderful sports!!

FERRATA: (Geographical entry.).
A via ferrata (Italian for iron road. The plural form is "vie ferrate". In German, a via ferrata is known as a "klettersteig" or "climbing step".) is a mountain route which is equipped with fixed cables, stemples, ladders, and bridges. The use of these allows otherwise isolated routes to be joined to create longer routes which are accessible to people with a wide range of climbing abilities. They are found in a number of European countries, including Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland, Spain, United States, Canada. The first via ferratas were built in the Dolomite mountain region of Italy during the First World War, to aid the movement of mountain infantry. The Dolomites probably still have the greatest number of via ferrata. There are various difficoulties for a via ferrata, easy, medium, difficult, very difficult, extremly difficult, and particularly difficoult. There are also ferrate in Trieste, the Bruno Biondi, the Naso, Diedro, Erbosa, Tetto, and the Austriaco and many others. When you do a ferrata you feel happy and it seems as of you were in the sjy, its beautiful!!

THE BARCOLANA: (Historical entry.).
The Barcolana is a very important event that happens in Trieste every year. The Barcolana is a sailing race and usually the bigger your boat is the faster you will go. The Barcolana was founded a lot of years ago by a gruop of friends and it was done evry year after that until now. There are two types of Barcolana's: the Barcolana Joung and the normal Barcolana. The Barcolana Joung is for the very little boats, only for optimists and it is a race for beginners, it is a race to see if you like sailing in the sea. I tried it when I was jounger and it was a fantastic experience! And then there is the normal Barcolana which is for all of the other types of boats. I partecipated even to this race and it is amazing how the bigger boats arrive hours and hours before the other boats, however, even this was a fantastic experience! But, I preffered the normal Barcolana because you are in a bigger boat and you go much more quicker than an optimist, and in a big boat you have always something to do! They are both two wonderful contests! The Barcolana is a very famous race and also very important boats partecipate to this race, like for example the Alpha Romeo, and many other important boats. They are two wonderful and fantastic contests, and like always, the best one wins!!!!

MAGNETS: (science entry).
In science class this year we studied a lot of things, but the thing that interested me the most was the subject of magnets. A magnet is an object that has a magnetic field. It can be in the form of a permanent magnet or an electromagnet. Permanent magnets generate their field by themselves. They can occur naturally in some rocks, but hey can also be made by humans. Electromagnets instead generate their own electric charge, and as it increases, so does the magnetic field. Magnets are attracted or repelled by other materials. A material which is strongly attracted to a has a high permeability, like for example iron and steeel, and an example of low permeability is liquid oxygen. Everything has a permeability!!.
THE PROMESSI SPOSI: (italian entry).
In Italian class, we are studying Manzoni which was one of the best story writers in the world. He wrote a lot of stories, but one of his most important stories is The Promessi Sposi. For example The Promessi Sposi was written by him and the story talks about Renzo and Lucia which are in love. They want to marry but, Don Rodrigo doesn’t want because he is in love with Lucia. So, he sends two of his servants to convince the priest not to mary them. The preiest is afraid and says that he will not mary them. Then, Renzo discovers this and tries to stop Don Rodrigo, but since he is one of the rulers of that place he decides what he wants. Then another priest comes and helps them. Then, the story finishes when Renzo and Lucia mary and everyone is happy!!.
SNUG, MOTHE AND THE SOUND ASSISTANT ROLE: (arts block entry).
In the paly A Mid Summer Night Dream, by William Shakespeare, I am Snug (the lion), Mothe, and the sound assistant. Snug, is not a very intelligent person, in the play he wants to be the lion because he has only a few lines. The only thing that he has to do is ROAR to Thisby and present himself as the lion. Then, I am also Mothe, which is a fairy. I am at the service of Titania and Oberon, and I have to obey at every order that they give me. I choose this partrt because it was a nice part and you didn't have to speak a lot! And, I am also sound assistant, I am the helper od Michele. Togeher, during the show, we will change the sound, and we will do a lot of strange effects. I really like my parts in drama, because they are short, and becuase I am also a tec - master. I hope you will enjoy watching us, and I will see you at the theatre!

ITALY: (social studies entry).
In geography we are studying a lot of continents and islands, but the topic that I liked the was Italy. I think Italy is one of the nicest places in the world. I like Italy because it is not a gigantic place, like for example the Americas, but it is little and it has a lot of thimgs that other places don’t have. Itlay is famous for its history. In Rome, you can find pieces odf architecture that were lest from the Romans thousands and thousands of years ago. Then, in Italy the food is very good, we are famous for the pizza and for the pasta, but we cook everyething in a very good way. Then, in some places of Italy there is the sea (for example Grado, or Trieste), and some other places have the mountains (for example Trieste, or Cortina). Then, in Itlay there is not a lot of smog and pollution in paragon of other places. And lastly, here in Italy you have wonderful places were to travel and relax. Italy has everything you want to do, and it is a wonderful place, the best in the world!!.
